ginger tea, How it turned out
well i made the ginger tea in my zarafina, and its turned out pretty good, though the first try was pretty weak because i used the herbal setting but i used the black tea setting gave much more flavour. i added orange zest which also has come through nicely. although i think ill try it in a tea ball or a brewt next time so it can steep longer. ginger is supposed to be great for you and i think for digestion especially which would be nice after the gluten binge i had yesterday.
Tomato Rebel Black Tea
The tomato rebel black tea by fullyloadedtea is quite a bland tea I thought it would have a sundried tomato punch to it but that is hardly evident actually; there is not much of any taste to it at all. It does have a kind of arts and crafts smell to it (one of those little stores that sells all the local hand made stuff) the only flavour you do taste is a bit of the basil on the back of your tongue. I’ve tried this a couple of times to make sure I was getting it right that included a double infusion and even using my zarafina on the bag setting but still no real change. Therefore, I would pass on a one it was a let down.

Zarafina tea maker suite
Zarafina has come out with a nice little tea making set, it allows you to steep your tea and adjust the strength and the temperature. it dispenses into a costume made tea pot, it also comes with a tray for serving, and two tea cups. you can use loose or bagged tea, the maker can brew up to 16oz at a time. the maker comes with three setting options for type of tea, strength, and bag or loose. the set will run you (US) $149.99 and you can order it from the company website.
the idea of the device is that different teas need temperatures and steeping times this will allow you to steep tea without the worrying of not getting it right, so you can enjoy the tea without the fuss. i like this idea but i would like to see a version that would allow you to use your own cups or pot instead of having to use theirs.
here is a video of it at work (link)
