The Kiosque
The Kiosque is the first tea shop i have been to in Montrea. Its pretty small and very stylized. Very minimalist with white walls and wooden laminate tables. They have a nice selection of teas in all the major catigories. They can make any of their teas cold or as lattes. Asian infused baking wuth green tea.
I got a pai ma tan which was a nice white tea and was very good iced. Prices werent bad with a large being about 2.50. They sell the loose tea and an assortment of tea wear. Even a togo cup that had a cord that could be plugged into a car lighter outlet. The place was only about 100 to 150 sq feet. Great staff that were very helpful.

Tea travels
So I am going to go off back packing in eastern Canada for the next four weeks. Quebec, Ontario and maybe Nova Scotia. I want to check out some tea shops along the way so post your favourite tea spots in the comment section.

Tea Story: Update
With all the comments and questions i’ve been getting i thought it was high time for a update. I got in contact with one of owners and this is what I have so far. it will be a mix between cafe and retail, food and tea will be served. they will have over 100 varieties of tea, including fruity and aged teas. they also have a special bubble tea! ( i’m not a bubble tea fan it’s those little balls and almost choking on one once). they also “delicious waffle sandwich, fresh fruit dessert waffle and many other surprise snacks”. sounds like they have some interesting furniture and design that i’m excited to see as well. can’t wait for these guys to open, and I will let you guys know when i have a firm date or any new information.

Tea Story: Winnipeg
so i was on the bus going to school a couple of weeks ago. when i noticed that a tea shop is opening up in Osborne Village. It’s called Tea Story… and i dont know anything about it! i dont see anything when i google, and come on does it even exist if you cant google it?!?! the sign for the place looks pretty slick all black with white letters and a green tea leaf. actually at first glance it looks like an H&R block. but this isn’t so much a post to inform though it may for some people who didnt know about it in the first place. this is more for the people out there that may know something about this. i’m reaching out to the Winnipeg tea community. so tell me more!
Davids Tea
a davids tea opened up in winnipeg a couple of months ago so i though it was high time to check it out. they opened up in Polo Park shopping center with a slick minalalist design asthetics. with a tea wall behind the cash registers. and product shelves on the rest of the walls. its a small store but it makes use of its space well.

they have brewt type infusers, and ice tea makers, and even a drink making kit for tea infuses liquor. while i dont like it as much as Cornelia Bean this is a great location and a good introduction to tea. i also like how the tea comes in little tin containers, that you can bring back to reuse. this is the first davids tea in manitoba and they originally started online. it looks like tea is really taking off these days. at present this puts the number of tea stores up to three in Winnipeg.
